D15A2 removing Aux Valves

D15A2 removing Aux Valves
I'm rebuilding the engine in my 87 civic w/a D15A2. I've removed the cylinder head and I've taken off all the valve springs as well as the intake and exhaust valves. The problem I'm having now is that I can't remove the auxiliary valves.
I have a Chilton's for my car and a scanned Honda service manual that I found online. Both talk about removing the valves, but not the auxiliary valves. The process is pretty much the same but the aux valves have some sort of plate sealing the valve into the pre-combustion chamber. I've including a pic below. There's a small hole on one side of the plate where there's a tab sticking out. I'm not sure how to remove this plate and I don't want to force it, since it could be the valve guide.
I tried a forum search and didn't find anything on this, so I was wondering if anyone knows what I should do.

RE: D15A2 removing Aux Valves
it very well could be part of the valve guide. try using some carb cleaner on the area let it set for a minute or two then use a small flat tip screw driver and it will take a little bit of force but not enough to bend the screw driver or scratch the cylinder head. You could try and call a machine shop. lets see if my picture worked

RE: D15A2 removing Aux Valves
well, I put some kroil in there and waited a bit. The top plates were loose on all 4 aux valves, but these plates just turned out to be metal O rings sitting on top of the valve guide. I don't think that guide will come out without a special tool and an oven.
I was just trying to get these valves out so I could get this head resurfaced without any loose parts. It looks like I'll just have to get it resurfaced with these valves still in. Hopefully, these valves and guides didn't need replacing. Thanks a lot for the help, riceburner!
