D15B2 Build up
I just got Pulled the D15B2 out of my parts car it had 120,000 on the motor so i figure it has a lot of life left. I have another civic hb that i want to eventually swap the engine in after it is complete. I want to hit about 200+ hp before i swap it in the car I have a rebuilt si tranny i plan on putting on it when ready and the car already has an exhaust no cat straight pipe all the way back. Im just wondering what i should do to reach my goal i dont want to just throw nos on it an blow my engine i want to be able to still drive to work every day if needed but i also dont have unlimeted funds I have $500 now to spend and plan on just putting $ into it for the next 3 months so maybe another $1000 into it. also I dont wanna swap engines (to a b series or anything like that) I just wanna use that stock 92hp d15B2. let me know? Thanks I cant wait to start building

RE: D15B2 Build up
You could mini-me for the $500and then piece together a turbo kit with the cash flow, unless you are dead set on staying non-vtec. You could get to 200 with nos on the stock bottom (responsibly). That would lend itself to the friendliest DD, but otherwise, you will have to go turbo.

RE: D15B2 Build up
USDM D15s are actually my favorite D-series (after long investigation of the series). Once I finish a VW bug I've got lined up, I'll probably build one. For that goal you will have to turbocharge. It could be done NA, but it'sridiculously difficult. You can make 200whp on the stock block (turbo), but you'd be risking it on the rods. You can search around and probably find someone to make you rods for cheaper than Crowers $660 set (the only aftermarket set made for USDM D15s). See if RS Machine can point you in the right direction. They're pretty involved with the cheaper, custom side of Hondas. Other than that, bottom end aside, a turbo manifold of your choice, turbo of your choice, other turbo related parts, Z6 head and IM, Zex cam, DSM injectors, Walbro pump, NepTune/Hondata/Chrome tuning, and you'll have made your goal of 200 easily. Some of these parts are good for quite a bit more than 200, but those parts are all the cheapest/best stuff you can get.
