Default D16y8 head on a D16y7 block

Hey guys

I am a super newbie at this, so im gonna ask some pretty newbie questions, if there are threads on these then please direct me, otherwise any answers would be very helpful

So i live in canada, ive got a 1998 EX sedan 5speed, stock everything. If someone could be ever so kind as to maybe walk me through the installation of a y8 head on a y7 block that would be great...thats alot to ask i know but it would be much appreciated, or maybe direct me at a thread that already has the info, is it just a straight removal of the y7 head and plug in the y8 head and your good to go ? and also ive got an immobilizer installed...does that make a difference ?
