I was wandering how much HP the stock internal can handle in my D16Y8?

I was thinking about butting a turbo on for now. I just rebuilt the engine so I don't want to dig into it for a little while. How much boost could I push and still have the car as a dailly driver on pump gas?

 

what did you do for the build?

whats pump gas? 87 91 and 93?

 

In the rebuild I replaced all bearings rings seals and gaskets. Cleaned the complete engine rehoned the cylinders. Put on a MSD cap and rotor, wires, short ram intake, header, full exhaust, short throw, stage2 clutch, new slave and master cylinders, vtec controller, paint and polishing.

93 octane

I could handle 115 octane on race days for higher boost.

 

should of threw in some pistons and rods while you were in there and then you could of ran like 15 lbs with a turbo

 

YEAH! that woulda been great for later use eh...Im keeping my d16 also so I enjoy reading these threads
