Default d16z6 head-d16y8 block (which headgasket)

this is my final problem with my turbo d build, motor is swapped, turbo kit "was" installed and everything was set and ready...

turned the key and cranked 'err over, andcoolant started shooting from a tiny corner of where the head and block meet right on the corner by the timing belt!

pretty sure that its because im running the wrong headgasket, but my problem is i dont know what style headgasket i put on! and i need to buy a new one..

so help me out, if im putting a d16z6 head onto a d16y8 block do i use the y8 headgasket or the z6... i "think" i have the z6 cuz it fits just on the outside of the block, but i want to make sure..

thanks guys

thank you!

problem 2 it may be, could the aluminum block gaurd holes not be lining up with the holes on the damn head gasket?

or problem 3, i screwed up the torque specs and somehow managed to make it seat the head and block wrong.

btw dev, your ride is SICK, i need to buy a lip and get my side skirts painted to match

yea the 2 headgaskets are the same, but the only difference is the Y8's headgasket is made of metal and is therefore stronger and better. If you end up having to take the head off again, you should go ahead and use a Y8 headgasket.

yea im just going to remove the valve cover, loosen up all the arp nuts and re-torque them to arp's specs, i didnt torque them down in the right order as the haynes manuel said, and i didnt use the proper torque steps, 12lbs, 25 lbs, 37lbs, 49lbs, or something like that lol...

could that have caused a small gap because i torqued them at random?

IM AN IDIOT FOR NOT PAYING ATTENTION
