Ok so as you can tell i have a no good piece of **** D17A1 in a 2003 Civic LX. The car was given to me, it was a big step up from a 2000 Chevy cavalier 4dr. lol. So anybody have a idea for a cheap motor swap that will give me more power than I have. Maybe something DOHC Vtech? or should i just stick with putting a D17A2 head and switching it to vtech and then putting a d16y8 intake manifold and a b18 throttle body?? I do not have the money for a $5000 K20 so thats a BIG NEGATIVE.

 

vtec, not vtech... vtech is a company who makes phones you can buy them at walmart.

your civic doesnt have many options for swaps. and i strongly suggest doing research before doing anything. if anything just drive it and make it look nice and clean.
