dont hear the vtec

ok when i had my old d17a2 engine on my car i never "felt" or really heard the vtec..and the same problem on my friends car, now what can i do to really feel/hear the vtec?..i know on one of my friends k20 u can really hear it...brrrrrrrrr......RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRAWWWWWWW lol...around 5k rpm...but on the d17 u cant hear it...he has AEM v2/DC Headers ..so what can we do to really hear/feel the vtec..?

You cant really hear vtec on most dseries motors. K series motors and b series motors you can hear and feel vtec easily. So swap the engine or maybe go with a cam/turbo upgrades but d17s are not the easiest motors to build.

ohhh...why are they not easy to build? i seen a built d17 on youtube run 11's...but it prob took like 20k too hahahah...i still dont understand why it says vtec if u cant even hear it or feel it -_-...thank japan for high gas mpg xD
