do a b16. you wont be disappointed and it'll save you tons of money youd waste on the h22.

**** a H22 swap will be around $400 more if that and a H22 civic will absolutly waste a B16 civic......murder it

id go with the h22...more power. its not much more at all and i dont understand why everybody bashes it. and then there is the "weight" issue...i forgot how much more the h22 weighs than the b16 but it sure isnt much.

its about 90 lbs heavier. not all that much, but it does make a difference in handling. my issue with the h22 swap is that the damn thing is hard enough to work on in the prelude engine bay it came from, and nearly impossible in a civic engine bay. Ive never had to, but i would imagine if you needed to do a timing belt on it, you would have to pull it. I damn near didnt have enough room when i did the belt in a co-workers prelude. but yeah, powerwise, the h22 is head and shoulders above the b16.

Dont be so quick and jump the gun by saying a b16 is better. In reality its the most overglorified and overpriced honda motor. I would nab an h22 anyday.

more difficult to swap. it's also heavier, but has way more torque.

research both motors swaps.

i'd probably do a JDM H22a swap if i had the cash, but the b18 would probably fit my wallet more.

i am just in the favor of b16 motors. its a direct drop in and you dont have to modify anything. with the h22 i think you have to modify some stuff for it to fit.
