k im new but i saw all of the stuff for the engines. What would possibly be ther best one for a 1989 civic base hatch. i dont reallt have a price range.. just want one that would fit and be the best cuz ill have someone put it in..

i hav a 1988 civic hatchback and the enigne number is d15b 1058463 does thats mean its a d15b1 if so that doesnt make sence cus its got 16 valves not 8, and its also dual carbed not injected cud someone held me out here plz

Anything is possible to swap, just some are easier to do than others. B series are generally considered the easiest to swap (that still give some type of recognizable gain) for your chassis

That would be the compression ratio for the engine.

2006-2008 civic dx/lx/ex is a r18a1 sohc ivtec
2006-2008 civic si is a k20a3 dohc ivtec
