anybody know how to check the engine codes on a 94 civic w/ the obd 1 ??

 

there is a plug by the ecm I believe. you use a jumper ( a piece of wire) put it in the plug and look on your dash and count the flashes. then look under the tech archive in here to see the meaning of the code

 

this is the plug you need to jump. located on the pass side. jump it w/ a paper clip and your check engine light on your cluster will start blinking. pay attention and count the blinks.

1 long blink = 10
fast blink = 1

so for example, 1 long blink and 4 fast blink = code 14
