My car doesn't have it's owner's manual. The guy at napa gave me 5 quarts of oil, but only 3 came out of the engine...

What's the engine oil capacity? I thought it was 4.5... but that makes me nervous with only 3 comming out. I have no oil leaks or any smoke comming out of the exhaust... car has 119000 miles.

Also, the dipstick just has two holes in it... is the lower hole the add line, and the upper hole the fill line or is this some generic aftermarket stick???

 

I did a search before posting and found nothing.

I don't want to drive my car untill this is resolved so any response would be greatly appreciated as I have a dinner date tonight.

 

The dots on the dipstick are exactly what you said. Bottom is Fill, Top is "FULL"


As for how much goes in, I believe it's 3.5

I drained some out untill I hit the top dot and that's what it all added up to. Dumb napa bastards...
