engine question

Default engine question

i have a 2000 honda civic ex and it has high milage and looking to get a new enginge to put in there but i dont understand all those b's and d's and other codes of engines so can someone help me out by telling me what enginges will fit in there and does the b16's engines fit in the ex's cause i am thinking they only are in the si's

yes a b16 came in the si

and yes it can go into that car fairly easily,
some mounts,axles,shiftlinkage,ecu,harness then its done and driving

no. you will need to get the b 16, the harness, ecu, axles and mounts to make it work

B16 doenst have to be for your year, just a B16 in general, then get the proper mounts, shift linkage, axles, tranny, and ECU and you will be set. A B series swap into a 6th gen D series car is farily common, you can find info on it all around the internet.
