I am looking into getting a 92 hatchback from a friend. When I get it she will have about 145k miles on her. How many miles does a Honda engine last? Also, if I wanted to swap the engine out for a new one what would the damage be financially?

 

it depends if you take care of it my friends motor just went out at 380,000 miles and thats because he had a hole in his raditator and didnt change it so bye bye motor. but it depends on what motor you want to get you can get the engine that came in the car for about 700 and then after that if you want to upgrade it will cost depending on what engine anywhere from 1500 to 6000 for the whole swap.
