they are both really good swaps and the both have there pros and cons the b18 will give you better performance but it will cost you more also. either way you will be happy it just depends on how much money you have and are willing to spend. i have the b16 only because i stumbled across one in my neighborhood for a really good price. Im really happy with it, it runs really strong.

id say the 18C but it matters on what u wanna do. If you dont have too too much money and u just want to go motor, then the 16 might be best..but if u wanna mod and have some cash, the 18c will hold the best

i have had both, and i highly recommend either of them. pretty much what they said about how to choose. if you plan on making an all-out racer, go for the 1.8. but its about 50% more expensive as a B16, so if you cant afford 3-4K for a swap, look for a B16a2. you should find one for around 2k to 2500. depending on mileage and condition. you really cant go wrong with either though. if youre planning on going turbo, try to save up for the 1.8, as the extra low-end power will make up for the lag better than the smaller b16.

I was in the same situation you were at and I went with the B18C. Its way worth it. Over all just a bigger better built motor with way more potential. Definetly worth the wait if you can't afford it at the time
