i have a d16y8 engine in my car and ive been condisering doin an engine swap to a h22a or maybe even the k20 if possible im not sure i dont know much about swapping imports yet so could some one tell me the best range of engine goin by stock horsepower or should i jus turbo what i have ive read a bunch of thread about the d16y8 turbobeing better than an h22 is this true or jus a preference thing

 

the y8 is fine for turbo, on stock dont go past 200 hp or so. on a built engine you can put down 300-350whp no prob. You could swap a H series and have around 175-185hp. Id boost the y8 but you have lots of choices. k20 will be around $8,000-9,000 to swap.

 

yeah i found out the hard way some swaps are pretty expensive. i actually found a site that has a few swaps with prices and everything you need for the swap
