Default Engine Swap????

So I have a 1998 Honda Civic HX coupewith D16Y5. I am looking to do engine swap. What engine would best work in my car that wouldgive me some major power but not be hard to install. I am looking to keep the engine N/A just changing cam, pistons, rods, and so forth. Thanks for the help.

i would def go with the b16 orb18u can easy drop that in an get it bored out.
if u can get ur hands a h22 that would be a perfect all motor engine. Big HP an lots of torque. u can easly get a h22 to run 12 or high 11s just depends on how much money u have to spend on it.

He will probably need to remove the air conditioner and get motor mount kit to fit an H22 in it. I also heard about some understeer in H22 swaps... Don't know if its for sure, as I have never driven one. But yeah otherwise its all time and money.

b16a2 and a b18 gsr are going to be around the 3000-3500 dollar range. ls vtec is a pretty cheap and easy swap to do from what ive heard. you might want to read up on those engines because i don't know much about them. what do you plan on doing with the engine in the future?

I plan to bore the engine out, get new pistons, new rods, new camshaft, new camgear, new clutch, and new short shift.

I'd do an ls/vtec, fairly cheap and you can build them to be pretty powerful. depending on how well you build it, dictates your price.
