I have a 98 civic dx 5 speed d16y7. The motor in my car is pretty beat from the previous owners. So what I want to do is buy a complete d16y8 sohc vtec engine. So what I'm going to do is type out a list of parts (some aftermarket parts for performance purposes) and if I'm leaving something out...please someone let me know.

1. d16y8 engine complete with I/M, injectors, vtec solenoid, etc.
2. p2p ecu
3. d16y8 engine wiring harness
4. skunk2 T/B (i will port the I/M to match diameter of T/B)
5. AEM sri for the y8


I'm pretty sure i'm leaving something out so please inform me. Also, since I will be getting the complete wiring harness for this swap it should be directly bolt it correct?? No custom vtec or knock sensor wiring? Thank you for any help!

 

from wat ive heard about wiring in Honda engines if it looks like it shouldnt go there its probably because it doesnt.lol
