Ok i just got a free 93 civic HB.A guy didn't have the money to pay me for some work i did and offered up the car.The car is in good overall condition.The body is o.k. got a few dents and dings , but hey its a 15 year old car.The interior is in excellent shape , no burns , tears , stains etc , etc.The motor is in pretty good shape , got a oil and exhaust leak but other than that ok.Well of course the motor isn't what i want.I want something with a little more umph.The thing is , i'm new to hondas and know nothing about them.I want something that is aggresive but still streetable.I'm not new to cars just hondas.Most of the work i am more than confident i can do myself.The motor will be one of the last things i do as i will focus first on straighting out the body and then beefing up the suspension and such.My question is what motor set up would you do if you were handed a free car , and had about $1,500.00 a month extra cash to play with.I'm doing some research myself , but its always good to get others opinions and ideas.So if you got any ideas i would love to hear them.

with $1500 a month? Either swap ina D16y8 and boost it or if you got a litlte more $$$, maybe a B series (GSR's are sick, like above mentioned) and boost it. Save money for like 3 or 4 months and i'd say you're well on your way....and come on man:

i would do like the others said and save up for a few months and build a gsr(b18c1) and boost it. that should get you in the range of 300-350whp. with that lite of a car it would be sick.
