Default H22 vs K20

This guy I know is telling me only morons prefer h22 over a k20. I know this isnt true, and his attitude is uncalled for, but it got me thinking. Could somone please compare and contrast these engines for me in terms of hp/trq, reaction to mods, acceptance of nitrous/turbo, cost, ect. I would greatly appreciate it.

k series is the revolution for honda motors. how could you not pic it, you could get WAY more power with a tune on a k20 than you can with a h22. k20 all the way.

ill dig up the specs, but the K is down a bit on torque, damn near the same HP, but a lot lighter. and costs from 3-4 times as much as the H22.[&:] but has an available 6-speed trans. also responds better to mods.

First off, my car had a USDM h22 when i bought it. Ready to be turbod. After a sleeve dropped and ruined that block, I had my JDM one imported for 1300 dollars, WITH a 6 month warranty. Im eventually going to nitrous the **** out of this engine, and that will be the end of that. Im just curious about all this, so please dont flay me for having an h22 civic.

hey, for street racing, an h22 with nitrous is a great setup. if you sqeezed the same shot on a b18c, it wouldnt be as fast. and if you blow up your h22, it costs like half as much to replace it as it would with a C1. i just would rather have the c1 for my car that i drive to and from work everyday and such. but if i made a drag racing sleeper, i would definately consider the H. but i would only take it out to race.

From what ive heard, the h22 can hold a very large amount of nitrous on little fuel delivery and forging. Heck, the engine can run a 100 shot spraying the bottle empty every weekend with only a sparkplug change. I know the guy who does it. The H22 really isnt as bad of an engine as everyone seems to think.
