Default Head gasket Questions

I just bought a '94 Civic DX with the 1.5L 16valve engine from a guy I new. Shortened story is I bought the car lightly wrecked for $500 and I've got another $300 in it in tires, tune up, and a timing belt kit. While I was putting the water pump on I found oil in the antifreeze. I know the guy I bought the car from and I trust him so I hadn't looked it over really close. I'm thinking he probably didn't realize the head gasket was bad...it runs fine...and I don't really have the money for all the repairs I need to do.

I've seen a couple postings online that say to make sure you get the right head gasket for this car. What are the differences? I'd planned on getting one of the head gasket kits off of eBay...I'm a little broke right now to buy the $110 Autozone kit.

Thanks,

Derek

why are you getting a whole gasket kit if you only need to replace the head gasket??? Just the head gasket should cost around $40-50 at autozone or any auto parts store.
