Default HEADWORK

Ok, the car went into the dealer today. In the even the valves are bent im just going to get a new (used) head. Does anyone know a good place in the NJ area that does good port and polishing work? If the head is coming off i wanna get it replaced with something beter. Any ideas where? Im not looking to go broke thou, how much does this usually cost? Just the work. What gains could i expect? What do ya think?

Well as for a local shop doing it, dunno about the price, but for a GOOD PnP with valves done, look to spend $500+. without valves done prolly about half that. As for NJ area, no clue. I'm still looking for one in PA; I believe slowboyracing does PnP but thats like 4 hours from me and I'm not interested in driving that far.

Good Luck Pete!! Hope the valves arent bent.

OEM new. I can do that stuff later. I am just sayin the head is off the car this week, so if any P+P is ever getting done to my car, its going to get done now.

I'd heard that it was somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 to get a nice basic PnP done. As for gains, its hard to say, but the word around the campfire is that its worth the money.

This is all hear-say, so do with it what you will

if u were closer i could do it for u dependant on how large of a port and what kinda bowl work you want done....most machine shops here will hit your for at least 600 for a port job and even more if your wanting it flowed and cc'd
