How do i get the rust off in front of the cylinders, and to the fight of the CAI

Dont worry about it. If youre trying to make that car fast youll be ditching that engine. The D17 is the redheaded stepchild of all the D series motors.

 

Im going more for a show car and i probaly wont have the money to ditch it so i need to just make this one as nice as possible, and it pisses me off everytime i look at my clean engine and see that rust lol

 

try some skotch brite/ sos pads on the exhaust manifold cover should do the trick. and on the intake if its aluminum just use some aluminum polish
