Your engine code's stamped on the block. You should be able to see it if you're looking at your engine from the front of the car. Take a peek down and to your left, and you should be able to see it. The first two numbers in your code denote the engine's displacement, while the third one denotes a revision or upgraded version, I believe. I'll use my car as an example. A D16Y8 = 1.6 liters. Now the "8" is the revision #, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the 8th revision in that series....like, I've seen a D16Y5, and a Y7, but no D16Y2 or anything. I think the Y is also part of the revision, because there's also the D16Z6...I hope this helps :)
