my engine block says D15b1, I checked the sticky on engine codes. it says I only have 8 valves @72 hp. I know thats wrong, I changed my head gasket and I counted 16 valves. And the valve cover says 16 valves. And If I had 72 hp, I wouldnt beat the cas I beat. Could my block be misprinted? Or am I missing something?

 

Maybe it was swapped.

 

I know the original owner and she wouldnt have swapped it.

 

either you read the list wrong or the list is wrong. d15b1 is the civic std/cx engine. 16valve and a whole 72hp. cam, and ecu differ from the 92hp d15b2.
