i thot the compression was higher than that on the y8. like 9.8. i dunno. im prolly wrong

according to bluesols comp calc y7 and y8 share the same comp ratios......but he was asking about a dx motor so it should be a y7 unless swapped....

I think the Y7 is 9.4:1 and the Y8 is 9.6:1.
