Default its dead

Ya i have a blown head gasket. Me and my dad are trying to decide weather it would be wiser to spend the money to get it fixed or change the enigne all together. What would yall do? Also if we decide on the engine what should i go with? I have a 95dx

at least change it out for a sohc vtec, like the 92-95 EX/SI D16z6.

it depends how much u want to spend
head gasket --about 2-350ish*
used motor--eh --500? + labor

* if head isnt cracked ---but u wont know that till u take it apart

Ya thas true too. We're gonna take it to a shop sometime and have them look at it. They said like 200 just to look at it. Thats sucks right there

head gaskets are dirt cheap to replace yourself, if you have a little bit of automotive experience.

if you don't, then take it to the shop and have it replaced.

as for a new motor. that's a big task. choose wisely.

If I were you, Id spend the 200 bucks to make sure nothing else was wrong, and if its just the head gasket, Id change it myself. Changing a headgasket is a pretty easy thing to do yourself, just be careful and pay attention.

Almost 126000. Id really like a new engine though
