Default JDM D15b

Does anyone know if this engine can be turbo'd? and if so what would be the safe limits of boost to use on it? Anyone with some info will be great help. Thanks

I had one and boosted 9psi on it from a t25 and made 175whp, ran 14 flat in the 1/4 mile in a full weight 98 sedan

Yea it was a completely stock engine. I could have put a 16G or something on it and retuned and got well over 200whp but I put the car together to have good response vs peak numbers. I was hitting full spool under 3000rpm and allthough it did fall off higher in the rpms the t25 was a decent match for the engine. My setup is still floating around the forum here, somebody is using it or is about to use it but I cant remember who. It went to Tony(forty04), Then whiterabbit I think, and now somebody else has it.

that is just the info i need, I plan on doing a jdm b15b swap(I can get the motor and everything needed, including tranny for a small amount of $$) and then I would want to turbo it. I am not loocing for a speed demon, just a civic with alot of pep for a daily summer driver! I plan on doing this before next summer hits, what type of turbo is that t25, is that a garrett? what else can I looc into for turbos?

I have the JDM D15b boosted with a 14b turbo running about 7-9psi.
I'm upgrading to an evo III 16G turbo and going to do all internals.

damn thats crazy, I am just surfing the web right now xhecing out my options and that. It will cost me to turbo the d15b, but it is still alot cheaper then getting a h22a or b18c done, my local place will be doing it(well in a larger city near me where I went to college for apprenticeship) but the problem is they charge labor, if I could do the swap myself I would but i donnot have the nowledge, and no one in my town has done swaps as far as I can tell, I have never seen a fast civic here, lol
