K20...H22 Question

K20...H22 Question
So I'm thinking of getting a K20A or H22A for my Civic some time next summer when I have done more reading up on the engines. Anyway, say both have a turbo, which is going to be more reliable/stable? I've heard some people say its a no-go for daily driving (a friend of mine)and others say its fine.

Both will be fine with a turbo but a couple things need to be known on your part.
The H22 will be way cheaper to get into the car and to boost, in all reality you can have the H22 in your car and boosted for the price you are going to pay to get the k20 in there alone. Your looking at $5000 give or take to put a stock H22 in and boost it, that is $5000 for everything.
With that being said I need to tell you this, in noway shape form or fasion is the H22 better than a K20A. There is not one area that the H22 will better the K in but with a K swap and turbo look at having nearly $10,000 at the bare minimum wrapped up in it.
You need to figure out your goals for the car before you do anything.

Ya, I'm thinking I wanna go with the H22A. 220hp is just fine. I do have to pay for this alone too. My goals for this car...it has a D15B7 (102hp) in there and I just want more power out of it. About a month ago I was gunna buy a WRX STi but I thought I'd like to do a project!
And you know the 12 year old Civic just seems like so much more fun then a new car.

A atleast 6 year old engine with a unknown amount of miles on it for around $2500 only to be able to reach around 300whp then tear it apart to build it. Also choose your words wisely, the K24 will hand the H22 it's *** on a platter by way of hp abilities and tq abilities plus you can touch over 500hp with them in stock form.
