K20 or teggi
So here is the deal. This car dealer up here has a RXS dont kno if its type S and he is sellling it and also an integra i think ls. The RSX is total badly. Like the back is ramed all the the way up to the drivers side but... the engine is fine. There are no noticable signs that it was damaged. He is tryin to sell me that car for $3000 or best offer, 80k miles on it. He just doesnt want it. Now he also has this teggi he is tryin to get rid of for like $1,000. it looks beat up and the paint is pealing of and suff. I didnt get to look under the hood cause it was raining and it has about 100k miles on it or so. I am going back there agian today hopefully to look at the teggi.
Here is my question. Should i take the RXS and just take the engine and tranny out or take the teggi and make it my project car where i can fix it up myself and gain some good experience.
Now i dont kno how much it cost to swap in a k20 into a 2000 si and this is something i cant do by myself due to lack of tools. Lets just say if my i sell my SC i will have about $4,500 to spend and thats all. Which one would you guys pick. I kinda leanin towards the teg dependin on wat under the hood looks like.

RE: K20 or teggi
first off .. its RSX
and second the type is is 220hp rated
and the lesser model is 140hp i think but i could be wrong.
but to do it its going to be expensivev.. ive read that you've got to modify the fuel system toget it to run b/c the K20 is a returnless fuel system and the 99-00 si is the standard returned fuel system. you've got to buy mounts. which ive seen from hasport for 650 then you've got to buy axles which are avalible from hasport 350, and the shift linkage, im not sure if its the same or not. the swap header is 375 from DC sports, then you've got to get the conversion subharness for 350.
so if you know how to do this swap and do the research about how to do it and what all needs to be done then go for it.

RE: K20 or teggi
the base RSX has 160 hp.
if it were up to me, i'd buy the RSX (if it's a type s) and take the motor and put it into any number of hondas or acuras and drive with an evil grin on my face. I'd probably buy an EG shell for less than $1,000 and drop it into that.
you would have a true pocket rocket.
and since you'll have the entire "front clip" of the donor car, you can take whatever parts you need off the drivetrain including transmission, uncut wiring harness (which is worth its weight in gold when doing an engine swap), intake, etc.

RE: K20 or teggi
I'd buy the RSX if it is a type s and sale the swap out of it for like $5000. Nothing like making money for a little bit of work(your talking a $2000 proffit for like a couple days work)
