I have the d15b7 in a 92 civic dx.A while back the car blow a gasket.I have the head off and debating to mini me with d16z6 head ,intake,trottle.I am very nervos that the block may be gone.S i am thinking of just droping the whole engine.Is the mini me better than the engine?

 

Kind of hard to say....if the block and bottom end is good a mini me is a great setup at realatively low cost. If the old engine is really toast then yes a swap would be more fun.
What do you want at the end?? Power, speed, Daily driver, drag racer? what??

 

If you have the means, do the swap and build that up.

 

Well when i had the d15b7 up and running i run with a 92 prelude h23 and and acura b18
I am the slow one but the mechanic out of the bunch.I don't get into self install of cams,pistons,rods,crank,and so on.Motor,head swap no problem.

 

use the b7 block and swap on a y8 head.

if you're cool you could use a3 pistons for a sweet CR.

are you asking if d15b7s can be made into a race engine? if so then yes.
