MPFI=multi=point fuel injection(four fuel injectors)
DPFI=duel-point fuel injection(two fuel injectors)
just the way your injrction is setup is the main difference.

mpfi-4 fuel injectors for better fuel distribution as well as better air flow. mpfi just owns dual pont in too many ways
