Default Need Help choosing what swap.

I am getting a 98 honda civic dx at some point tommorow. Im trying to get my to do list put together for the car. I have the money and the time/want to build the car. Im not looking for the most expensive build. But im not going cheap. So I was wanting to know "in your guys oppinion" what motor swap i should do . I have a 5 speed tranny. So if im going to need a new tranny along with the swap thatd be useful to. I would like something boosted. Im new to hondas. And am still trying to research. So just give me your oppinion for a nice swap but not the most expensive. Thank you.

How much money do you want to spend, how much power do you want to see from this car?

Yes, you will need a different transmission if you get anything other than a D series.

Depending on the motor and where you buy it from, you are looking at about 3-4k for the swap itself.

For that amount of power, I would just go with something like a B18c1 (GSR motor) and boost. Should see high 200's, low 300's for power. Expect to pay at least $6-7k for everything, then you need parts to help get the power to the ground, tires, suspension. The transmission shouldn't have any problems though.

vtec Yes the 99 EX will have that. No point in swapping to a z6 head on a y8 block unless your head goes bad and you need something to throw on there.
