okay i just purchased a 88 crx with a D15B2. the car came with headers, NKG plug wires and CAI. engine runs great but i wanna know what i need to get this thing a lil faster. any help would be much appreciated.

 

How many miles on the motor? Do a compression test. If the motor is in bad shape, just do mild bolt ons. If its good, u could add some forced induction...............you could jump on the bandwagon and swap a B16 too.

 

engine has only 76,000 miles on it. id like to keep the engine cuz i hear its pretty good on gas.

 

all honda engines are execellant on gas so it does matter what engine you have they run forever on one tank of gas.

 

mpfi conversion is a must.....you will notice the gains immediatly, power, throttle responce, sound, idle, and long term tuning. next cheap mod is the a6 cam with either a y8 or y7 cam gear. i am completly assuming your crx is a dx model.

 

this is my first honda so you gotta expain more if you could. mpfi is muti-port fuel injection right? what do i need to accomplish this conversion? im pretty sure its a DX. where can i get a a6 cam gear? sorry im a newbie with hondas.

 

There's a DPFI->MPFI conversion write-up in the DIY section. You should be able to find a cam gear on eBay without much trouble.
