all right peoples i need help? ? ? I am wondering if i should swap my engine with an acura type s (k2)engine or the type r (b18) engine...what is the best for for my car.....i would like my car to run atleast 11s or 12s or lower just to be more specific...o yeah whats the cheaper one too.....lolz...well i noe the type s is the most expensive but i want to noe if i am to get more mods for my car what would be the cheapest one

 

Well, between just the K20 and the C5, it really depends on how much money you have. Generally, the Type R would be a better idea, simply because it would be soooo much easier and cheaper. But it's going to take some cash to get either engine into the low 12s/high 11s without FI... just so you know...

The easiest/cheapest low-12-second solution would be a GSR swap with a B16A head, minor internal revamp, LSD, and a nice T3/T04B... Or maybe a Spoon C1.

 

well money doesnt really matter its just that i want my car to be faster.....well ok heres a question what car would win if there was a type s engine inside of a civic coupe like mine or the type r engine....both stock motors...o yeah and whats a T3/T04B... For the price of an installed K-series, you could have a GSR put in, buy a B16 head, and build a turbo setup.

 

T3/T04B... Or maybe a Spoon C1 are your Turbo Options

 

T3/T04B is a specific turbine/compressor combination, and a Spoon C1 is just a GSR engine built by Spoon.

 

t3/t04b is a turbo, and a Spoon C1 means a built (race car) b18c1 engine. its built by a company called Spoon, who is generally known of as the Honda gurus. thats all they do.
