I know this is a Civic forum, but the head on my brother's Prelude is cracked, and figured you guys could give me a quick answer.How much it would be for a new one, andcan you guys give me a link.

oh sorry, 1992 SI. i believe it's a H23. I know it's a non-Vtec DOHC

i just sreplaced the head on my gf's ****ty sunfire and advance auto has good prices on rebuilt ones

 

it's not cheap, and the h series non vtec are pretty hard to come by, at least they were, i could be wrong

 

you have to call to get the prices on the heads from advance or else i woulda jumped on and gotten a price for him

napa rapes for prices but they want a hair under a G on their website....that means 1100 in store

 

damn that much!?....i feel bad for my bro then, he's 17 and just got his first job....no spending money for him now.

 

my firend has an h23 in his garage, im not sure if it has the head or not. ill talk to him tonight hopefully. i might be willing to sell it, if he even has the head lol.

 

you could always check the junk yards for a head that was on a wrecked one...just never know what u will find. 100 buks at the most there and i guess it would be worth the gamble and most junk yards give 30 days to bring it back. most of there money comes from scrap metal anyway.
