well if HP was your goal you definitely made it a lot harder on yourself by not getting an Si

Build the engine and turbo the f*ck out of it

i hate to say it but you should have gotten a si a dx/lx/ex has a r18a1 and it a fuel economy motor. even with boost ive only seen them get around 190 hp built and boost around 220 hp. the r18 can be boosted but it will be hard to get the numbers you want. if you want to get that much power i'd trade or get a k20a3 which is good for boost cause it has a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or a k20a2.

from the sounds of it i will probably be trading it in and getting a SI then. Since im new to turboing and tuning engines im asking what i will need to buy and what kind of performance it will get me.
Pegleg i noticed you said the dx/lx/ex have the r18a1 what is the stock engine for a 2006 SI?

do you drive the car daily? cause there is no way in h3ll your going to want a car that runs in the 10s as your daily driver. Its really pointless and is going to cost a lot of money. If you really want to get a car in the 10s, get an older civic and build the living **** out of it and then turbo it. Otherwise, get the si turbo it and be happy you can smash on the stangs and camaros.

Don't know how relevant this is, but I did see a Youtube video of an 06 SI barely pulling 13.8s for the 1/4 mile (several attempts.)

The video poster stated he only had a CAI though, no turbo or other mods of any kind, so it's maybe possible...??
