i just bought a 97 hx and im lookin into buying a new engine with some more horsepower. does anybody know what a good engine for my car would be? im new at this and i need some help. im also looking to turbo it when i can get all the money i need.

 

GSR or k20 would be your best choices for horsepower.

man...... i wish i had an engine. i just have a d-series with i/h/e. but i've been searching around because i want to get a swap, that's where i got those sites from. hmotorsonline.com was referred to me from a reliable source. so i think i'll probably order from them as soon as i get the money.

K20 will give you crazy good horsepower, but the swap is a bitch

a B series swap will be alot less of a pain, but you wont get near as much power, but it'll still be a gain over your D series. Although with the money it costs to swap you could just turbo the D

 

i was thinkin about turboing it but i'd rather save up for the new engine and turbo that later
