does anyone know how much a port & polish runs $ wise?

Anywhere from $500-$800 depending on the shop but make sure you bring it to a reputable shop though. If the shop doesn't do it right, it could be a major headache.

Thanks for the info... I am looking into getting this done is it something i should do is it worth that 5 to 8 hundred$ ?

you will definately feel the difference... its just like getting a bigger motor...

port and polishing the head makes the biggest difference when aftermarket cams, high comp pistons come into play as well as forced induction. IMO well worth the money in the long run.

thanks man actually im lookin into swapin in a D16Y8 because my engine had 200k + on it and ive talked to a few ppl and they tell me to go witht hte swap

go with the swap, that kind of money into the head, then the bottom end will go out.

yea thats what ppl have been telling me... im gunna do the swap when i have the time and the money i have heard that the d16y8 isnt a hard engine to find which means it isnt a very expensive swap which is exactly what i need... due to the low budget! well thanks for the info

what year car is this in? are you running the stock motor right now? if not, what motor is it.
