Default Possible Mini-Me

Hi all. I just got a d16y7 and tranny for 200 bucks off of a friend of mine, and I'm thinking about doind a mini-me with it. But I have some questions.
1. Can I use either a z6 or y8 head(surely I could)?
2. Is the block the same as a y8 or z6? Meaning could I interchange pistons, rods, crank, etc?
The y7 is three cm larger as far as displacement, but would that affect internals?

I might build up this motor after the mini-me, so thats why I'm wondering about internals. I hope they're the same, but I'm pretty sure they are. I just want a second opinion other than my own.

1. yes, but if you use the z6 you'll need to get a conversion harness for the distributor and for the ECU, and the z6 (P28) ECU, and to wire VTEC. Or you could just get the z6 ECU and the z6 engine harness. If you did the y8 all you would need is the ECU and to wire VTEC or get the engine harness.
2. i have no clue

Yeah thats what I was thinking, but I wasn't quite sure. I think the internals are the same, but if not then **** it i'll do it anyway! lol I mean its only 3 cm
The volume of y8/z6 is 1590 while y7 is 1593.
