No going back, right? If not, there is no point in discussing it unless you want a different motor.

You swapped in a D15/D16 to replace your previous D16. Not much of a difference.

What year motor was it? OBD1 or OBD2? What is the engine code on the block next to the transmission?

I dunno what open head cast means, but if you have a 96 EX, you pulled a D16y8 out of it, to install another D16y8. Same motor.
