Default Redline question.

With my civic, its got 400Km on it. Its in great condish, the person before drove it so well. There nothing wrong with the engine.
If i bring the revs up high with an engine so small and with so many km, is it very hard on the car.
I just dont want to blow the engine.
haha
thanks,
XxDrummerxX

It shouldn't do any damage, assuming there's no existing damage to the engine.

Just be aware that bouncing off the revlimiter continously causes valve float... and that's not good. It's okay to tag the limiter once in a while, just when you do either shift or let off.

I think you should be safe as long as it's not bouncing off the revlimiter at those high rpms.

It's going to be at or slightly above your redline.
