would swapping an s2000 engine into a 99/00 civic si be any good? does it have vtec? what would have to be done for that to work the right way, if the swap is worth it?

its been done, but not without lots of welding and customization. You're going from FWD to RWD, so its not easy. S2000's have F series, and i believe they are VTEC

Drop the idea and go onto something else, honestly with the time, money, and effort that it requires it isn't worth it.

you could find an S2000 shell and an S2000 engines on ebay and put that together for cheap(er)

+1..but yes, the f20c does have vtec! and...a little more info for ya....Honda droped the oil filters for them, even though they are the best....so now you have no choice but to by a fram...or equivalent.
