SOHC to DOHC

Default SOHC to DOHC
I have a 2003 Civic Ex 1.7L SOHC.
Was wondering if it would be possible to convert it to a DOHC and if so would it be worth it?

are you talking about the car? like doing a swap. That can be done. The engine will always be a SOHC

thats called an engine swap. Theres no way to keep the same block and just put another cam in there, making it a DOHC. You gotta take your whole engine out and replace it with a new DOHC one.

Why would you ever want to swap out the massive engine you have in right now?! Hahahaha I feel your urge to get that engine out and go for broke.

hey sorry to interupt but i just got a 94 ex with a 1.6 vtec...anyone no were to get cheap after market parts from the internet? i need stuff like red caps an valve cover for my engine, cold air intake, headers, ect, and suspention, with coilovers...oh yea some clear head lights an side lights, tail too, haha hope u understand me....thanks

yes it can be done.

you have to be a good machinist and machine a DOHC head to work but yes it can be done and ive seen it completed.

go to Yahoo.com.. in the search box type in what you want and there you go.. or ebay and do the same thing in the SEARCH box
