is it possible if you buy a SOHC and switch the head to DOHC?

Honda no, Mitsubishi I know of at least one motor you can do that with. There might be a few others.

yes u can put a zc dohc on a sohc block.for civic
dohc neons will fit on a sohc

yes its possible, just a decent amount of work. just not sure if everycar can do it.

it is possible.. but only if you are a machinist, and know how to relocate the coolant passenges in the head and have money to spend. so practically.. no
