Anyone else rolling with a SOHC turbo....

yea this is my second one in this car lol... they tend to do that. but for some reason i love the sohc's

 

hell yeah, just got it tuned yesterday!! Read my post "tuned"

 

sohc turbo is pretty sweet, im bout to rebuild the bottom end soon.

 

You need to get rid of that VAFC or whatever.........it doenst controll spark, so tuning is limited. If you get a chipped ECU and a proper tune, your car will be just as reliable as it was before the boost. I had a poor fuel management system and I believe Oil failure....Thats why mine blew up.

I've been running a boosted y8 for a couple months now, it's fun.

 

i say rock what you got, go and boost that sohc

 

im running a turbo sohc, i got the safc-2 which i need to rebuild the turbo, chip the ecu and run 10lbs of boost with it fully tuned

 

I'm confused, are you saying that you need the safc-2 in order to get it fully tuned? Or because you have the safc-2, you need to chip the ecu and get it fully tuned instead
