I was looking at a ignition upgrade and i stumbled upon the summit ignition kit. It comes with a new design cap w/external coil, coil,wires and rotor. any problems or kudos?

 

the honda oem ignition system is very good, there is no need in replacing it if you have anything from simple boltons to a mild f/i setup.

 

The current one on my car is mostly original parts. the previous owner said it was giving off misfire codes. I was just wondering if this kit will do alright as a replacement or is it a waste of time.

 

well depending on the problem.... if the plugs and wires are new and its still throwing out a code... THEN id upgrade the setup or just buy a replacement OEM new distributer....

 

I was just figuring i would replace them with these parts instead of the OEM parts. it's too damn hard to get parts here and expensive too. just ordered an alternator,intake manifold gasket,TB gasket and head gasket. cost over $600 canadian dollars. i hate living in an isolated community.
