Default swap or no swap?

okay guys, only to add to the large list of questions ive asked, i have more. I was on h motors the other night looking at b16 and b20 motors and such but im wondering, what would be better, to build up my d16y8 or to just buy a full swap. Im not made of money but for the power i can save money and not get a turbo kit or anything for my d series. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Itll still be a daily driver but i want to be able to spank down most people i come up against (unless they are in like a supra or somthing along those lines, other civics and whatnot ya know).

Tell me what you guys think.

Eric.

what kind of car do you have? year/model. b18 would be a good motor for certain applications, i seen one on youtube that "spanked" some other cars. he had a turbo on it and it was pretty dope!!! i say save your money and go for the better eninge, then build up on it.

its a 96 EX. And i had thought about the b18 aswell but it seems like the higher the number the higher the price[X(] lol.
