Default Tachometer question

Hey i have a autometer tachometer and i was wondering i have a 93 dx coupe. i have b16a2, and i dont have tach on my cluster. i went to autometer and got wireing diagram for my tach, and took it to my father in law, but he said you need to know where the tach lead goes to, on my car there is a white tab, looks like a wire goes in there its toward the back of the dizzy. I was sure the tach pluged right into the white tab on the back, but my fater-in-law said i have to be sure or you can short the entire moduleator out on this car and it can get very expensive can anyone advize where the tach would plug into under the motor, the green wire. keep in mind my car is obd1 with a harness conversion for obd2 injectors dizzy, intake mani.

is theres somewere i can get a wireing diagram, or someone can tell me where it goes? anyone? please.

The wire is already in the harness for the gauge cluster, so just tap into it there. You'll need to download a Honda service manual online for a wiring diagram. I can't remember where to download them, but if you search/look around HCF you'll find a link.
