I'm not asking If it is worth it, but how to do it. If I wanted to get a B18b tb and put it on my D16 intake manifold, would I have to grind out 4mm of the manifold to get the actual effect. If so, what is the best way to do that, a die grinder?

 

If I'm not mistaken, and please correct me if I am, a B series TB wont bolt up to a d series motor

Dang, I checked ebay a while back and they didn't have any for that cheap. That would be alot easier. Allsemi-recent honda tb's will bolt up to one another.
