i put in a new distrubitor a while ago and i never set the timing on it
and now its way off when i hit about 2600rpm my car like cuts off and then back on. just wondering if anyone know how to set the timing on the distrubitor ive read the honda repair manny but it dosent show/say anything thxs -brandon |
What year?
General procedure: 1) Make sure the idle speed is set to spec 2) Drive car or idle engine until it is warm (radiator fan turns ON twice). 3) Turn engine OFF and put a jumper wire on the service connector (same connector used for retrieving CEL codes). 4) Hook up an inductive timing light. 5) While warm engine is idling, the sight marker should align with the red line (middle line in group of three separated from the white TDC mark) on the crankshaft pulley. |
